Policies & status
Product status, in plain words.
Every product connected to Peppies answers two questions on its page: who may buy it, and what the product is. This page explains the status badges you will see — and what each one does and does not mean.
Two lines on every professional product page.
The first line says who may buy the product through Peppies — that is access. The second says what the product is — that is product status. Access never changes a product's status, and a product's status never grants access.
Example — the two-line pattern as it appears on a research product page.
Six statuses, one plain meaning each.
No product carries more than one product status, and none of these badges is a claim about outcomes.
| Status badge | What it means |
|---|---|
| PUO · Professional Access Only | Only verified professional accounts can buy this through Peppies. PUO describes who may purchase — nothing about what the product is. See the footnote below. |
| Research Only | Research material — not for human use. Supplied to verified research and business accounts with a certificate of analysis, a safety data sheet and a per-batch passport. |
| Prescription Product | A prescription-only medicine. Peppies does not sell prescription medicines; where one appears in the Compendium it is there to be read about. Obtaining it is between you and an independent qualified professional, under the rules where you live. |
| CE-Marked Device | A device that carries its manufacturer's CE marking — for example the blood collection kits. It is used according to the manufacturer's instructions. |
| Consumer Product | A finished consumer product, such as a cosmetic, that anyone may buy. Use it as directed on its own label. |
| Education Only | A Compendium profile to read, not a product to buy. Peppies does not sell it. |
PUO is a Peppies professional-access restriction. It is not regulatory approval, prescription status, pharmacy status or CE marking.
See it applied.
Every product page shows its own access and status. Professional access explains who qualifies and how verification works; the boundaries page says where Peppies stops.
Nothing on this page is medical advice. Speak with an independent qualified professional before making medical decisions.
